During standard drop testing, rifles and shotguns will freely slide between the convoluted foam layers. Even heavy-duty metal cases cannot provide enough compression to secure long guns in place throughout the shipping cycle. THE SOLUTION We have developed a simple and effective solution which allows the user to quickly assemble a custom-fitted shipping container, totally enveloping the gun in protective heavy-duty polyethylene foam. The foam used in our kits is not styrofoam or polyurethane (sponge), which is normally found in gun cases. We use heavier-duty polyethylene (plastic) foam, commonly used for pool floats. This material holds the gun more securely and is easier to cut with hand tools. Our kit can also be custom-fitted for scopes, bolts, clips or accessories.
